How to Get a Job Overseas

If you're interested in getting work overseas, my friend Claire Chen-Carter has some very good advice on my other blog, here. (Forgive the cross-pollination.)

It's not an easy route, especially as a student coming out of portfolio school. But Claire did it. And ended up winning a gold Lion at Cannes for her Ikea spot while she was in Singapore.

  1. I'd also add to Claire's great advice that, although it's not necessary (e.g. Claire & Greg), it can be easier in some countries and at some agencies to get an international job as a team.

  2. I love shopping at ikea. Great products at reasonable prices. Definitely a must visit for any form of singapore shopping.

  3. Honestly, these blog spammers crack me up. I suppose I could delete these comments, but frankly, I find them funny.

My guess is people have their Google alerts set to things like "Ikea Singapore" and "800 numbers" and leave comments not realizing that when you're putting your portfolio together you have little time and money to give to anything else.

    Keep on, Capitalism. Keep on.
